SANITATION PolicY

We follow very strict guidelines with regards to sanitation and cleanliness in the operations of our business. If you have any questions please contact us.

Hand Washing

Hand washing is required before and between providing services to each client. An anti-bacterial soap is used to sanitize the hands and the exposed portions of arms before providing services and after drinking, eating and using the bathroom.

Gloves

A new pair of sterile nitrile medical exam gloves are used for ever service. These medical-grade gloves are made from 100% synthetic nitrile polymer, a special material that resists contamination. This material offers the strength and flexibility of latex without the potential threat of latex allergy.

Countertops & Floors

All countertops, surfaces, door handles and cabinetry are disinfected and sanitized on a daily basis. Floors are bleached on a weekly basis.

Bed Coverings

A new disposable medical bed covering is laid out for each client to minimize any chance of cross contamination between services. Blankets and pillow covering may also be changed.

Skin Care Treatments

All equipment and linens that come in contact with clients are cleansed using an approved method. All treatments are performed with clean towels, bed sheets, disposable sponges and cotton pads.

Hair Removal

All waxing and sugaring implements, spatulas and cotton strips are disposable. Once the applicator comes in contact with a client once it is thrown away and never gets dipped back into the container. A new applicator is used every time wax or sugar is applied to a client. This assures that the wax and sugar will never become contaminated. Pots are covered when not in use and are cleaned daily.

Manicure & Pedicure

All porous implements, nail files, buffer blocks and wooden sticks, for manicures and pedicures are disposable and are discarded or given to the client following each treatment. Foot soaking is performed in a stainless steel bowl with a disposable plastic wrap. The soaking bowl is sterilized with anti-bacterial soap and hot water and then sprayed and sanitized with sanitizing spray after each use.

Massage Therapy

All equipment and linens that come in contact with clients are cleansed using an approved method. All lubricants are dispensed in a contamination free manner. Before and after each massage, the massage therapist's hands and forearms are washed with hot soapy water and a disinfecting solution. Any breaks in the skin of the massage therapist will be covered with protective coverings.

Tool Sanitation

All tools, implements and equipment are cleaned then disinfected by complete saturation and immersion for 10 minutes in Accel, an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant that is bactericidal, viruscidal, fungicidal and pseudomonacidal. The disinfecting solution is changed daily according to the manufacturer’s directions.

All sterilized items are stored in a covered sanitary container. The container is labeled to show that it contains disinfected tools. Soiled and dirty tools are stored in a separate and properly labeled covered container. Dirty tools are not used again until properly cleaned and disinfected according to the procedures stated in this policy.
